The Mystery of the Ring

Norbert Morbe is a collector and researcher of the 90th Division and  was out searching a field with a metal detector when a shiny glint of something in the dirt caught his eye. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a 14k gold ring with USA on the front. Inside is engraved LB44.

The last photo shows where it was found - a  field between Nothum and Berlé, Luxembourg. This is the area that  the 359th Regiment of the 90th Infantry Division passed during the Battle of the Bulge.

Maybe you were in the 359th and passed this way. Maybe you know who lost it.

If so Romaine and Norbert Morbe would like to hear from you.
